Lucky Girl

February was a busy month. Every weekend we had some place to be or we were visiting someone. I was super lucky because I got to visit with some of the greatest women on Earth.

The month began with a trip up to the northern region of the state to attend a VIPs birthday party at Chick-fil-a. We went up a day early so I could help the birthday girl's Mommy with some last minuet party details. Above is is a picture of Rebecca and I at the party. Her little girl just turned 3. She and Peter are good friends who like to hug a lot!

I like the belly shot in this picture. Yep, there's a baby in there!
The next weekend Matt and Peter headed north to NJ while I stayed home to attend a "3rd Floor Girls Reunion Slumber Party". When I was a freshman at Southern Virgina University (then College) there were 10 girls (most of us lived on the 3rd floor) who I loved dearly. We did everything together. I could always count on at least one of those girls to be around when I had a boy crisis or any kind of crisis! Each one taught me something different. One of those girls taught me about starching shirts, one taught me about Canada, another let us ride in her :purple hippo", and others taught me how to love and appreciate horses, and a couple of them could sing us all to sleep with their lovely lovely voices. We all are scattered all over the U.S. now but these girls above are the ones that are still in Virginia (except for the one in NC) and are who I have kept in best contact with over the past decade.

We got together at my friend, Terri's Mom's house in  the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The house sits on a hill the middle of an apple orchard. SO beautiful! From the moment we all arrived from the moment we left we talked the entire time only stopping for a few hours of sleep during the night. Our lives have all changed and we have all matured but we are all still the silly super fun girls we once were when we all lived across the hall from one another.

The next weekend Matt and I went to Charlotte to visit  another Rebecca. She and I have been friends since that first year at SVC.
This is us showing off our our new "slap watches" during lunch in a local Charlotte restaurant. Becca and I spent some "girl-time" shopping while Matt and Peter toured the NASCAR museum. We saw these watches in a small boutique and we just couldn't resist!

I feel very blessed to have so many wonderful friends so close! Defiantly one of the biggest perks of the move! See, when life gives you lemons you make lemonade and you might just get some friends to share it with as well.

I think the next thing on your list should be a Holy Hock reunion! Looks like the move has been good in more than just an employment way. You are a very lovely pregnant lady :)
