Greetings! We are alive and doing well!
Since our health insurance kicked in Jan 1st I have been to the Doctors (actually the midwife) and everything is fine with the baby. We have a real active kicker in there! We have an ultrasound tomorrow to find out how the baby is developing and we will find out the sex of the baby so stay tuned! I am so excited!
Matt likes his job! Woot woot! He is doing pretty much the same thing he was doing in Philly but is getting paid more for it. We like that:) Last night he brought home a state vehicle because he would be in the field all day today . I expected him to come home in a big orange VDOT truck. Nope. It was a mini van! That's the state of VA for you! He likes the people he works with and is doing very well. Tomorrow he has off. It is Lee-Jackson day. It's a special VA holiday, otherwise known as the "the South will Rise Again "day. Not really, but I think it's funny.
Everyone at church was soooo nice! Right as the last prayer was said the people behind us peeked their heads over to introduce themselves. It really caught me off guard. I swear we know the whole ward already! Peter went into Nursery without a problem. There are a ton of kids in there, so much more than the 5 in NJ.
We love Staunton!!! Very cool downtown with shops, restaurants, theaters, parks and a cool old train station that is still an Amtrak stop. It's looks old on the outside but everything is new on the inside which is pretty much how the whole town is. Old on the outside but new inside. It sits on the base of the mountian so there are a lot of hills and old southern style.
Fishersville is a drab little nothing town that sits perfectly in between Staunton and Waynesboro. It is close to everything so we are happy. It has only a library and the big new medical center. We like were we live and have met a few neighbors. It is still too cold to go to the park so Peter and I are doing a lot of unpacking and staying indoors. Today is in the 20s. Brrrrrrr. Peter is watching way more TV then I normally like but it keeps him busy while I get things together.
I am becoming an HGTV junkie!!! The other day I saw a guy that was in my singles ward in DC on HGTV (Design to sell) as a Carpenter. It was weird because when I knew him he worked on the hill. He once gave me a tour of Sen. Hatche's office and the Senate building. Crazy!
Yesterday Peter climbed in bed with me and said "Mommy I miss you" and I looked at him and said, "why do you miss me?" He said "when you go to work". This whole time he was expecting me to go off to work. So I was happy to tell him that Mommy would be home with him. That made him pretty happy. It's made me happy too. We are having fun and I am glad that I get this one on one time with him before baby #2 arrives.
We are all doing very well and we recognize the Lords hands in all of this. We are so grateful!

Yay! I'm glad things are working out for you. Your family deserves some good blessings! Staunton sounds WONDERFUL. I'd like to find some charm. Someday. For now it's 1950s suburban sprawl. So I'll keep hopin' on someday. Enjoy!
I'm so glad to hear that things are going well for you!
Yay!! I am so glad that everything is going so well. My little PB&J is so adorable! I am excited to have a new place to come visit :)
Hi!
I would like to talk to you about an article I wrote that, being a parent, I think you would enjoy (on early childhood education). I'd love it if you could drop me an email quick so I can give you more details if you're interested or if you were interested in new content for your blog.
