OooooH!!!!! OKLAHOMA!!!!

Where the wind goes sweeping down the plains! And boy does it ever! The wind was so strong that it almost knocked me over a few times! No wonder most of the houses are made of brick.

Here are some Photos of the things we saw during our travels in OK.

This is the inside of the caboose we stayed in at the Red Rooster B&B. My parents watched Peter and put us up in an overly decorated caboose for two nights to celebrate my 30th (eeck!) birthday and our third year anniversery. We had a lot of fun!
This caboose had everything we needed. Including a huge old soaking tub where I soaked my weary bones after treaking through the prairies.
This is Bricktown. It is the newest and hippest part of town. There is a canal that run right down the middle that will take you to clubs, restaurants, piano bars, the baseball statium and so much more.

This is an old farm that I spotted on the highway. I loved it! To me it represented Oklahoma's past. During our stay we found out what a Sooner is. It is a cheater! During the great land race the Sooners are the people who snuck over the line the night before and the Boomers are the people who followed the rules and crossed the line when they were suppose to. If you want to know more just go watch "Far and Away" with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

The Oklahoma City TempleThe Oklahoma City Botanical Gardens
The Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. We went at night so many of our pictures did not turn out well. The memorail was beautiful and sad. This building was damaged from the blast but not destroyed like the Federal building and the church across the street. The new Federal building is kitty corner from the memorial. My Dad works there.

This a the Train Depot in Guthrie, OK. The territory capital of Oklahoma. It is now a restaurant where we ate. They also have tons of electric trains inside. Very cool.
Did you know the Flamming Lips are from Oklahoma? I didn't.
This a statue at the National Cowboy and Western Museum. This museum contained many beautiful paintings of the west.

We had a great time exploring the state. I really enjoyed the wide open space and the beautiful sunsets. Oklahoma was OK in my book:)

Looks like you all had a fun time. The Caboose was quite decorated. And I LOVE the pic of the Indian in the museum... very artistic! I'm glad you're back though so I can come visit you next week:)

Hey Kristin,
I can't find your email address to send you that food storage spreadsheet. Could you email me so I can remember what it was.
