Easy...

We tried to go down to DC to visit an old friend of mine whom I haven't seen in a really long time and who was visiting DC for this week and this week only. We thought it would be easy. Washington DC is only a couple of hours from here and Matt and I love to go down there and revisit the scenes of our courtship, but wouldn't you know it, right as we were getting ready to leave little Pete started to spray the walls with his breakfast! Puke every where! We thought no problem and we cleaned it up and continued to get ready. We put Pete in his car seat and just as Matt buckled him in, a missile of vomit hit him square in the chest. So needless to say with his car seat covered in baby vomit we had to put an end to our travel plans. Peter is now the boss, what he says goes. Whether we like it or not.

Peter is 4 weeks tomorrow! Time is flying by! These last few weeks have been anything but easy yet easy. Let me explain. Putting aside all the worrying about whether he is eating enough, or if his poop is the right color and normal or if he is spitting up too much, or trying to figure out the difference between spitting up and vomiting and the getting up at 3 in the morning only after have finally gotten him to bed at 1am...that stuff is hard and wears on me, but because he is so small and cute and lovely and because he is mine it makes it easy to put up with all the worry, poop, spit-up, projectile vomit, and sleep-less nights. I now know why they call it a "labor of love".

We had a new addition to our family this week. My sister had her baby. Noel Spencer Adams was born on April 1st and he weighed 7.12 just like Peter. Welcome baby Noel! We are excited to get to know you!
