Prenatal classese have begun

Last night Matt and I attended our first prenatal class. We had a sub so we don't know who will be teaching our other classes. There were only two other couples in our class, so it was pretty small. Matt and I couldn't hide our giggles and laughing, not that giving birth is anything to laugh about, Matt just made me laugh during some of the excerises the lady had us doing. She had us staring into each others eyes while we had our hands up and we had to move our hands in the same direction and be in sync without touching. Do you know how hard it is to stare someone in the eyes without laughing, especailly when that someone is a goofball? We made the class fun even though it was a little on the boring side. One down, three to go.

We are getting so excited about this baby! Time can't move fast enough! I say to labor, "Bring it on!". In one of the videos we watched last night one of the ladies giving birth was so annoying and her midwife was equaly so. Her mid wife kept giving her choices like, " you can push or you can just lie there," or " I think we should check you to see where you are in your labor process but we don't have to if you don't feel comfortable or you don't want me to look". No one feels comfortable during labor and if you don't look how will you know!?!?! The midwife and nurse were always touching her and rubbing her, and the woman was all, "no, I can't do it, I don't want to see the baby", blah blah blah. This definatly did not make want to go the midwife route.

I liked the other movie where the Doctor told the lady what to do and when and let her husband do all the rubbing and touching. I told Matt that we should bring in his Jock Jams CD for the pushing part and turn it into a fun upbeat physical workout, no pain no gain ! Could you imagine!? " ARE YOU READY FOR THIS ?, dA DA DA dadu DA duDADAddA PUSH! DAduDAduDA DADA BREATH!" Could make it more interesting and that way we are foucusing on the music rather than the pain. But honestly we don't know how I will react to labor. I hope I keep my cool and not act like the annoying lady.

We have almost 4 months left of this being pregers stuff and I am excited for it to be over. I've sprained my ankle and thrown out my back within the last 3 weeks and enough already! Being pregnant is turning me into a walking disaster!
I want to meet our baby! But unless I want our little bundle to be born with mega problems I will endure.I don't reallly have a choice. I just hope for the rest of the pregnancy I stop hurting myself!

You will look back and you will say it went so fast! But now it seems like time just stands still sometimes. I don't know why pregnancy has to be 40 weeks, but I guess that's just the way it has to be...
