We did not see it on a boat, we did not see it with a goat....we saw it in Stone Harbor. Matt and I traveled down to the Jersey Shore this past weekend to take a peek at the traveling Dr. Seuss exhibit. It was more than mere child's play! We had so much fun looking at his life and the familiar images of our childhood.
He did so much more than just write children's books. He wrote political cartoons, wrote guild books during WWII about the dangers of Malaria and how to aviod the disease that were distributed to the troops, and he wrote a satire about naked women that appalled millions! He also was a very talented artist and had many private paintings that he created for his own personal enjoyment.
We saw a more grown-up side of the Doctor at the exhibit and I would recommend attending the short but sweet viewing when it comes to a town near you. You won't be disappointed. To learn more go to the link below.
