Happy Easter!!
Hearing is a funny thing. So often we hear without listening, or we keep ourselves so busy that we don't hear even though we have ears to hear. "Simplify simplify",Thoreau once said and we must or else we may become deaf to the still small voice that whispers to us to do good and better ourselves.
For those of you on this Easter weekend who don't understand why Mormons don't have crosses on their churchs or temples here is the reason:
When Pres.Gordon B Hinckley was asked by a clergyman of another faith after touring one of our temples, why he did not see any crosses and what is the symbol of our faith if we don't have crosses and how can we believe in Jesus Christ without them? (Which we do, the real name of our church is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints) The response given was:
" .. the lives of our people must become the most meaningful expression of our faith and,in fact, therefore, the symbol of our worship."
I liked this answer, especailly because I get so frustrated with hypocritcal Christains. We must practice and live the way we say we profess to believe, otherwise we are just big fat liars and that is not any good. Our lives should reflect who we are and what we worship.
Poor bunny.
